Abstract

In the thorax examination, children aged 2 to 4 years really need accuracy because children aged 2 to 4 years often fail. from that to create a friendly atmosphere and produce a good picture using radiography in children (pediatric). Therefore, this study aims to design a fixation device for PA thorax examination (posterior anterior) in children aged 2 to 4 years that can support radiation safety and patient safety. There are two types of research that are taken in this study, namely experimental design and qualitative, descriptive using the design method, namely the design of fixation devices on thorax examination (pediatric). In collecting literature study data, case studies and interviews in order to obtain supporting data. This research was conducted at the Pekanbaru Medical Center radiology installation from May-July 2022 In this study, a performance test of the PA (Posterior Anterior) thorax examination fixation device was conducted to 6 (six) respondents consisting of 3 (three) radiographers and 3 (three) parents/guardians of the patient from the interview. Tool performance test is feasible to use in reducing movement
