Abstract

Radiology plays a crucial role in medical diagnosis using X-rays, but uncontrolled radiation exposure can have negative effects. Leak testing for X-ray tubes is crucial to minimize this risk. Observations at the Radiology Unit of Selasih Pelalawan Regional Hospital (RSUD Selasih Pelalawan) indicate that radiation leakage measurements have not been conducted for three years. This study aims to measure radiation leakage from X-ray tubes at the Radiology Unit of Selasih Pelalawan Regional Hospital, considering that routine radiation leakage maintenance is performed once a year. The study used a quantitative descriptive method with an observational approach in June 2025. The main instrument was a calibrated survey meter, with data collected at five different points around the X-ray tube, with a measurement distance of 100 cm and exposure factors of 141 kV and 160 mA. The results showed that the radiation leakage measurement procedure was implemented in accordance with radiation safety standards, which are a combination of PERKA BAPETEN No. 15 of 2014 and KEMENKES No. 1250 of 2009. The highest radiation leakage occurred at the rear of the tube (0.0099 mGy/hour), while the lowest was at the right (0.0013 mGy/hour). Total radiation emissions were 0.024 mGy/hour. Radiologi berperan penting dalam diagnosis medis dengan memanfaatkan sinar-X, namun paparan radiasi yang tidak terkendali dapat menimbulkan efek negatif. Pengujian kebocoran tabung sinar-X, menjadi krusial untuk meminimalkan risiko tersebut. Observasi di Instalasi Radiologi RSUD Selasih Pelalawan menunjukkan bahwa pengujian kebocoran radiasi belum dilakukan selama tiga tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kebocoran radiasi tabung sinar-X di Instalasi Radiologi RSUD Selasih Pelalawan, mengingat perawatan rutin kebocoran radiasi dilakukan sekali setahun. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan observasional pada bulan Juni 2025. Instrumen utama berupa surveymeter yang telah dikalibrasi, dengan pengambilan data dilakukan pada lima titik berbeda di sekitar tabung sinar-X dengan jarak pengukuran 100 cm dan faktor eksposi yang digunakan yaitu 141 kV dan 160 mA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prosedur pengujian kebocoran radiasi telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan standar keselamatan radiasi, yaitu kombinasi landasan PERKA BAPETEN No. 15 Tahun 2014 dan KEMENKES No. 1250 Tahun 2009. Kebocoran radiasi tertinggi terjadi di posisi belakang tabung (0,0099 mGy/jam), sedangkan terendah di posisi kanan (0,0013 mGy/jam). Total kebocoran radiasi sebesar 0,024 mGy/jam.
