Abstract
Baground: Feelings of anxiety are experienced by everyone when doing certain activities that are considered unpleasant, one of which is a patient undergoing an examination at the hospital. One of these examinations is the Hysterosalpingography (HSG) examination performed in the radiology installation. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a medical procedure that can cause anxiety to excessive pain because there are tools inserted into the internal genitalia of women. The purpose of this study was to determine the anxiety level of patients before carrying out the Hysterosalpingography (HSG) examination at the Thamrin Clinical Laboratory Radiology Installation. Method:This study uses a quantitative approach. Data obtained from the results of a survey using the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A) questionnaire. the sampling method used accidental sampling technique with 12 respondents, namely patients who will carry out Hysterosalpingography examinations at the Thamrin Clinical Laboratory Radiology Installation. the research was conducted in May-June 2024. Conclusion: In this study, it was found that the Anxiety Level of Patients Before Hysterosalpigography (HSG) Examination at the Radiology Installation of the Thamrin Clinical Laboratory, the majority of respondents (83%) did not experience anxiety, this was due to the good communication of radiographers to patients so that patients felt a little calm and the feeling of anxiety in patients was slightly reduced and a small proportion experienced mild anxiety (17%) mildly this is because patients are afraid of their own minds where patients are anxious about the results that will be obtained and also afraid of the examinations that will be undergone
