ABSTRACT Nowadays, the level of cellphone use among children is very high. Excessive use of cellphones can cause negative effects and endanger human health due to exposure to radiation from cellphones. Electromagnetic radiation is very dangerous and can damage the reproductive system. Based on the results of interviews at SDN 10 Kandang Baru in grades 4 and 5, many children do not know the dangers of radiation on cellphones. The aim of this research was to determine the level of understanding of grade 4 and 5 children about the dangers of cellphone radiation. The type of research used in preparing this scientific paper is Pre-Experiment using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data collection in this research was carried out using a questionnaire by distributing it to 30 respondents who were students in grades 4 and 5 at State Elementary School 10 Kandang Baru. Researchers also found that children's understanding regarding the dangers of cellphone radiation was higher after the test, with the difference between the average score of the post-test and the pretest, namely 12, the average score on the posttest was 81.66 and the pre-test was 69.66, so it can be concluded that children's understanding about the dangers of cellphone radiation increased after the pretest and posttest. For children who use cellphones, try to use cellphones and make friends who don't lead us into negative things so that they are useful for us. Keywords : Danger, Radiation, Handphone ABSTRAK Pada zaman sekarang tingkat penggunaan handphone pada anak-anak sangat tinggi. Menggunakan handphone yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan efek negatif dan membahayakan kesehatan manusia akibat paparan radiasi dari handphone. Radiasi elektromagnetik sangat berbahaya yang dapat merusak sistem reproduksi. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara di SDN 10 Kandang Baru kelas 4 dan 5 banyak anak yang belum mengetahui bahaya radiasi pada handphone. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman anak kelas 4 dan 5 tentang bahaya radiasi handphone. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penyusunan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah Pre-Eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain One-Grup Pretest-Posttest. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan kuisioner dengan menyebarkan kepada 30 responden yang merupakan siswa-siswi kelas 4 dan 5 di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 10 Kandang Baru. Peneliti juga menemukan bahwa pemahaman anak terkait bahaya radiasi handphone lebih tinggi setelah test, dengan selisih nilai rata-rata post-test dengan pretest yaitu 12 nilai rata-rata pada posttest 81,66 dan pre-test 69,66 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman anak tentang bahaya radiasi handphone meningkat setelah pretest dan posttest.
